What is CityStudioSTL?
CityStudioSTL is a class at Washington University in St. Louis that brings together students with social work, engineering, art and architecture backgrounds and synthesizes their diverse skill sets to create positive change in the Hyde Park Community. The class will be led by Chicago based artist and founder of ReBuild Foundation, Theaster Gates Jr. We will be engaging the community by re-purposing an abandoned residential building into an art space for the children of Urban Expressions, a youth art group associated with Holy Trinity school.
